Dashboard

The Dashboard is FleetTAB's customizable analytics workspace, and the app's default landing page. It gives you a high-level view of your fleet's performance by assembling any combination of metrics — mileage, fuel, idle time, speeding events, eco-driving scores, sensor activity — into a single, configurable screen.

At the top, summary tiles give an instant fleet snapshot: Active Units, Total Distance Today, Units in Geofences, Active Alerts, Fuel Today, and Speeding Events. Below them sits your grid of cards.

What the Dashboard Shows

Each piece of information on the dashboard lives in a card. A card is a self-contained visualization — a single number, a ranking chart, a trend line — focused on one metric. You decide which cards appear, what data they show, and how they are arranged.

The dashboard works with whatever date range and unit selection you have active in the global filter bar. Change the date range and every card updates automatically.

The Grid

Cards are arranged on a 12-column grid. You can make a card as narrow as 3 columns (one-quarter of the screen width) or as wide as 12 columns (full width). The grid snaps cards into place so the layout stays clean and aligned without manual adjustment.

tip

Wide cards work well for trend lines and data tables where horizontal space improves readability. Narrow cards are ideal for single-number metrics you want to scan at a glance.

Global Filters

Two filters apply across the entire dashboard:

  • Date range: Sets the time window for all data. Presets (today, last 7 days, last 30 days, this month) are available alongside a custom range picker.
  • Unit filter: Limits which vehicles contribute to the data. Select individual units, groups, or all units.

Individual cards can apply an additional unit filter on top of the global one, which is useful when you want to compare a subset of the fleet against the whole.

Layout Persistence

Your card arrangement is saved automatically. FleetTAB stores it locally for instant loading and syncs it to your account, so your dashboard follows you across devices when you sign in with the same account.

info

Because the layout is tied to your account (not just one browser), signing in on another device restores your cards and arrangement. See Where Settings Are Stored for details.

Exporting the Dashboard

You can export the current dashboard view as a PDF using the Export PDF button in the top toolbar. The export captures all visible cards in their current layout and date range. Interactive controls (filters, dropdowns) are excluded from the PDF automatically.
