Settings
The Settings page is where you manage your Wialon connection, choose how the application looks and behaves, and review your account and subscription. Changes take effect across the entire application.
Your preferences are saved to your FleetTAB account (stored in your Wialon profile), not just to one browser. When you sign in on another device with the same account, your settings follow you. See Where Settings Are Stored below.
Wialon Connection
FleetTAB reads your fleet data from Wialon. There are two ways to connect, both managed here.
Sign in with Wialon (recommended)
Use Sign in with Wialon to authorize FleetTAB directly on Wialon's own sign-in page. You never share your Wialon password with FleetTAB — Wialon issues the access itself. This is the simplest option for most users.
Wialon API Token
Alternatively, paste a 72-character Wialon API token. FleetTAB validates it and connects immediately. You can add, update, or clear the token here at any time, and the section shows the token's status and age.
For step-by-step instructions on generating a token, see Wialon API Token. For an overview of both methods, see Connecting to Wialon.
Clearing your Wialon connection disconnects the app from all fleet data immediately. FleetTAB will prompt you to reconnect the next time you open a data page.
Resource
FleetTAB stores shared settings — such as custom trip types and saved filters — on a Wialon resource so your whole team classifies trips against the same definitions. Choose which resource to use here. See Connecting to Wialon for how resource selection fits into first-time setup.
Display & Preferences
Theme
Choose Light, Dark, or System (which follows your device's color scheme). The theme switches immediately across the interface.
Language
FleetTAB is available in several languages. Select your preferred language here; the interface updates right away.
Date & Time Format
Set your preferred date format and time format (24-hour or 12-hour). These apply to timestamps throughout the app.
Measurement System
Choose how distance, volume, and speed are displayed. You can pick a preset system or set each unit individually.
| System | Distance | Volume | Speed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Metric (SI) | km | L | km/h |
| US | mi | gal (US) | mph |
| Imperial | mi | gal (imp) | mph |
This affects every page — the Map, Assets, Trips, KPI cards, Reports, and exports.
Platform
- Visible Pages — choose which pages appear in the sidebar navigation. Hide the sections your team does not use to keep the app focused.
- Default Date Range — the range analytics pages open with (for example, Last 7 days, Last 14 days, Last 30 days, This month, Last month).
- Reset to Defaults — restore platform preferences to their original values.
Export Settings
Set defaults used when exporting data, such as the default file format, whether to include notes, and the date format applied to exported files. See Exporting Trips for details on trip exports.
Account
The Account section shows your Name, Email, and User ID, and provides a Log out action. Signing out ends your FleetTAB session; you will sign back in with an email verification code (see App Login).
Billing & Subscription
Review your subscription status and manage payment here. Manage Subscription and Add/Update Card open the secure billing portal (Lemon Squeezy) to change plans or update your card.
Where Settings Are Stored
FleetTAB saves your settings locally in the browser for instant response, then syncs them to your Wialon profile so they persist with your account:
- Personal preferences (theme, language, units, dashboard layout, default date range, visible pages) are stored on your user account and follow you across devices when you sign in with the same account.
- Shared settings (custom trip types, saved filters) are stored on the selected resource so your whole team shares them.
- Your Wialon API token is encrypted (AES-256) and stored with your account — you do not need to re-enter it on a new device.
Because settings sync to your account, signing in elsewhere restores them. Clearing a single browser's data does not lose account-synced settings; they reload from your profile on next sign-in.
